Gigi Hadid arrested for cannabis possession in the Cayman Islands
Model Gigi Hadid (28) has been released after being arrested a week ago at the Cayman Islands airport for possession of marijuana. Gigi will no longer be charged.
According to reports, Hadid and a friend have been arrested on suspicion of “importing ganja and importing utensils used for the consumption of ganja,” according to local media.

Hadid and her boyfriend were then taken to the Royal Cayman Islands Detention Center, where they were later released on bail. It was noted that the “amounts were relatively small and apparently for personal use.” Two days later, both were fined $1,000, which they reportedly paid immediately. “Gigi traveled with cannabis that was legally purchased in New York City with a medical license,” said her rep. ”
